Nadia Baram Larralde

Nadia Baram Larralde holds a degree in Photography and Imaging from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, graduating with honors. She has worked as an independent photographer, editor, curator, cultural manager, and art director. Her work has been exhibited in China, Mexico, Bangladesh, Brazil, and the United States, and is part of the permanent collections of the National Photo Library and the Guangdong Museum of Art.

She received the FONCA Young Creators scholarship in 2008-2009 and 2012-2013. She was nominated for the World Press Photo's Joop Swart Masterclass program in 2009 and participated in FotoFest portfolio reviews in 2006, 2008, and 2010.

Her projects have been recognized: "Falsa Filantropía" won the René Avilés Fabila National Cultural Journalism Award 2018, while "Estado de Censura" was a finalist for the Mexico City Awards 2016. Both were designed and programmed by Fuego Lab.

She has held prominent positions: Editor of zonezero.com (2005-2013), Deputy Director at the Digital Culture Center (2013-2017 and 2022-2023), Founder and Director of Fuego Lab (2015-2018), Founder and Co-editor of LUCA (2020 to present), and currently directs Exit-1, a design and web development studio focused on artistic, social, and cultural projects that use technology as a vehicle for social transformation, autonomy, and expression.
