Greta de León, originally from Mexico City, is a curator and researcher with training in Art History and Museology. She currently directs The Americas Research Network (ARENET), with headquarters in Washington, DC and Mexico City, from where she promotes interdisciplinary initiatives, fosters intercultural collaboration and designs programs that articulate academic research with ethical commitment, inclusive representation and artistic practices in the Americas. Her work is situated at the intersection between museums, cultural institutions, specialized research and contemporary creation, integrating digital technologies to expand access, participation and dialogue.
She is part of the International Advisory Council of the Humboldt Forum Foundation as a representative of the Global Cultural Embassy. In 2025 she was appointed Senior Fellow of the Center for Advanced Studies on Access to Cultural Goods in Digital Transformation at the University of Münster. She is also an associate researcher at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History and a member of the IBEROARTE council.
