Verónica Ahumada

Verónica Ahumada Chávez is an internationalist with more than 16 years of experience in cultural and public diplomacy. Her interdisciplinary training in international relations and arts has allowed her to link foreign policy with cultural management and cooperation and artistic creation. She is currently Coordinator of Master's Programs at Vatel Madrid, where she promotes international academic projects. She served as Cultural Attaché of Mexico in Belgium, Luxembourg, and Mexico's Mission to the European Union for almost five years, strengthening Mexico's cultural presence in that region of Europe. At the national level, she held strategic positions in the Federal Ministry of Culture as Director of International Cultural Cooperation, as well as in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as Deputy General Director in the Executive Directorate of Cultural Diplomacy.
Her academic experience includes teaching in the Art Department at Universidad Iberoamericana (IBERO) and academic coordination in the Humanities Division. For nine years she worked at the Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso, Texas, where she promoted cultural and educational programs with great community impact.
She holds a Master's in Art Studies from IBERO, a Bachelor's in Art from the University of the District of Columbia, and a Bachelor's in International Relations from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. Her trajectory reflects the conviction that culture is a bridge of understanding and an engine of social transformation.
